The crisis of single use plastics
18th September 2018
12:15- 13:30
GCEJN*: “Christian responses to the crisis of single use plastics”

A lot of people have been asking me what can be done about plastics almost as though this is a more urgent crisis than climate change?! The other day I heard there's an area twice the size of France of plastic floating in the Pacific. This is one aspect of environmental destruction that many people had overlooked until Sir David Attenborough TV series "Blue planet 2".

For our next, Dr Martin Hodson, a scientist, lecturer and Operations Director for the John Rae Initiative, has kindly agreed to speak about the crisis of plastics contamination followed by Q&A and open discussion.

There will be some time at the end for anyone working towards an EcoChurch Award (A Rocha) for sharing ideas and mutual support. Has your church registered yet? Please click here for a map of local Eco Churches:
