Tips towards gaining an EcoChurch Award

So far about a dozen churches in Gloucestershire have registered with A Rocha and are working towards an Eco Church Award. A meeting on 16th February 2017 at Churchdown gave an opportunity to learn from one another.

A change of venue had been triggered by Project Pilgrim at Gloucester Cathedral which has already installed solar panels on the roof and will soon transform the car park into a public green space.  Chantal Whitehouse kindly booked a room at St Andrew’s Churchdown.

The Revd Arthur Champion, Diocesan Evironmental Adviser, gave an illustrated talk covering these four aspects:

1. Why care about the natural environment

2. What local churches are doing

3. EcoChurch Award
