CoP21 Paris and pilgrimage

The meeting on Thursday 4th February involved several local speakers who each shared their experiences and reflections on the UN Climate Change Conference (30th November to 11th December) in Paris known as “COP21”: 

  • The Revd Val Bexon, Rector of Ermin Street Benefice; and Rev Kevin and Mrs Ros Durrant, Minister at Matson Baptist Church - all three of whom were on the Pilgrimage2Paris from 13th to 27th November ( Kevin's slide show is attached.

  • The Revd Rob Crofton, Vicar of St Barnabas Cheltenham, attended the summit from 3rd to 6th December on behalf of Arocha; and as such was also able to represent Gloucester Diocese.  Rob's slide show is attached.

  • The Revd Rob also preached a sermon(p1) and (p2) on the first anniversary of the P2P at a reunion hosted by the Revd Val Thorne at the Benefice of Ermin West.
