Caring for God's Acre
On 25th February 2016 at Gloucester, Sue Cooper, Manager at “Caring God’s Acre”, gave a fascinating illustrated talk about biodiversity in churchyards.

Climate Stewards
On 5th May 2016, Caroline Pomeroy made an interesting presentation about “Climate Stewards” which is a scheme that helps churches to offset unavoidable carbon emissions by supporting community forestry and cookstove projects in Ghana, Kenya and Mexico

CoP21 Paris and pilgrimage
The CofE's pilgrimage from London to Paris was supported bono less than three local Christians whilst a local vicar was actually able to participate in the conference proceedings!

Eco Church Award
On 5th May Caroline Pomeroy made an important presentation about “Eco Church”: a new award scheme for churches and the successor to “Eco Congregations”.

GCC's incinerator at Javelin Park
In 2012 Gloucestershire County Council signed a 25 year contract with Urbaser Balfour Beatty for a £500,000,000 incinerator to be sited at Javelin Park near junction 12 of the M5 motorway. By contrast,"CommunityR4C" is a community-led initiative to provide economic, social and environmental benefits for Gloucestershire by treating our waste as a valuable resource rather than burning or burying it.

Warm and well
Ruth Davey, Partnerships Coordinator for Seven Wye Energy Agency, gave an illustrated talk about the "Warm and Well" initiative to tackle fuel poverty whilst simultaneously improving energy efficiency.
